In March 2018, the awards bid I wrote for LeedsBID/East Street Arts for the national Planning Awards was announced as a finalist.
The application was shortlisted for the ‘Arts, Culture, or Sport in Placemaking’ category for the striking ‘A City Less Grey‘ project, which includes the phenomenal Athena Rising mural.
The bid went on to win the category at the London Savoy Place award ceremony in June, over entries from Walthamstow EMD Cinema and the Battersea Power Station development.
The news gained fantastic national coverage including from BBC News.
