I have a lot of experience in copywriting for annual / general reports, analysis and summary documents, prospectuses, policies, PowerPoint presentations, stakeholder literature, and awards submissions. This formal, academic style of research and writing is a skill I have honed over the years and is an area I especially enjoy.

PRESS RELEASES AND MEDIA WORK

I have worked with local, regional, and national media for many years and have gained significant coverage in the press, television, radio and online. I can help you to look at your existing external communications strategy and analyse where media coverage and PR work would be beneficial.

EDITORIAL AND COPYWRITING

I can assist in the research and writing of text for all marketing outlets: web SEO content, blogs, publications and printed literature, marketing campaign channels, advertorials, social media etc. Style and content can be tailored to each target market.

PROOFREADING

I have many years of experience copywriting and proofreading text, from content for printed marketing materials and advertisements through to large-scale corporate publications. The importance of getting this right can’t be underestimated… and can save costly reprints as a result of typos and errors.

CRISIS COMMUNICATIONS

I can assist with crisis communication planning, strategy documents, media training, and reactive media work when a situation affects business continuity. I have experience of working under pressure to generate a quick response.

CHANGE PLANNING

I have worked on cycles of change planning over the years, from staff restructures to organisational change. This has included drawing up internal and external communications plans alongside human resources and senior management teams.

TRAINING SESSIONS – PR & COPYWRITING

I have created and delivered training to staff, introducing the basic tenets and best practice within communications, media relations, public relations, and press-release writing. Most recently, I delivered a half-day session about copywriting techniques.
