In October 2018, it was announced that an awards bid written by Sharpe Communications on behalf of LeedsBID had been successful at the International Downtown Association (IDA) Awards.
Every year, IDA recognises outstanding improvements to city centres by the work of dedicated individuals around the globe through the Downtown Achievement Awards.
At the 64th IDA Annual Conference and Tradeshow in Texas, USA, the LeedsBID Chief Executive, Andrew Cooper, collected the Excellence award for LeedsBID’s creation and funding of the Leeds International Festival. The award recognises high achievement in the areas of innovation, representation and sustainability.
